Lesson Two - Experiment
Key concepts for this task can be found in the k-10 syllabus, under working scientifically. A copy has been provided below:
Students are grouped into 3 and given clean, empty jars/containers (equal size), dirt, and some fast growing seeds (lima beans/radish seeds/broad beans/kidney beans)
Each group should have a different scenario for their plants (some suggestions below). Each group should have 6 jars, 3 with their control plant (as below). And 3 with their groups scenario. Each Jar should be labelled appropriately (eg control 1, control 2 etc)

Every day students should care for their plants (appropriate to their scenarios) and photograph their plants progress. Students should try to photograph their plants from the same spot each day, and at the same time of the day to try and avoid differences in angle and lighting between pictures for their time-lapse film.
